A Thousand Apologies - Lostprophets
This was one of the first bands that got me into rock music that was current, rather than the '80s punk stuff my parents listened to. This song is particularly inspirational to me because it makes me think of every anime battle scene ever, and gets me drawing all sorts of wonderful things. Like tanks.

Bigmouth Strikes Again - The Smiths
I'd heard this song a thousand times growing up, but I was about 14 when I heard it and actually listened to the twisted lyrics. Along with "Girlfriend In A Coma" it set the bar for me wanting catchy yet deluded music to listen to.

Sugar, We're Going Down - Fall Out Boy
Me and my bestest friend Sarawr waited outside the Wolverhampton Civic Centre for 12 hours before the Fall Out Boy concert that was to take place. We were cold, tired, and hungry, but we got inside alive. Imagine the sheer joy we felt at Pete Wentz saying, just before they launched into this very song, "this is dedicated to the crazy girls who've been outside since 8AM..." Needless to say, my head nearly exploded.

Vampires Will Never Hurt You - My Chemical Romance
The first I ever heard of this band was through Sarawr, because she's clever and always picks the good music, and it was actually their second album I heard first. However, I finally bought the 'bullets' album, and I heard this song. I'm not quite sure what it did to me, but it made me sit outside one of their concerts for 5 hours trying to get a ticket. This song changed the way I thought about music. And, of course, it made me think of Morrisey and The Misfits.

Army Of Me - Bjork
This was one of the first alternative alternative songs I ever listened to; essentially speaking, it uncovered this whole other side of me - and that side likes glow sticks, jumping, and throwing shapes in the house of dance. Screw New Rave, the old stuff is better.
